From the very moment of a cancer diagnosis lives are forever changed as it becomes ‘All About Cancer’. Every decision, every hour becomes subservient to the knowledge that you have a new battle to fight each day. In reality, we all fight this battle without knowing it as each and every one of us can fall prey to this disease at any time. This book is for everyone. For those fighting cancer it provides inspirational possibilities and potential ways to extend life. For others it explains how small lifestyle changes can help to prevent the disease from attacking. Joe was diagnosed with terminal cancer on 18th November 2004. Together with his wife, Julie, he began a journey of survival which spanned the globe. Unwilling to accept the imminent death sentence given to her husband, Julie entered the world of alternative treatments, diets and supplements which might prolong Joe’s life. As we follow their progress, we share their joys and heartaches whilst being guided through the maze of conventional and alternative treatment options which they faced and the decisions that they made, some right, some wrong, but from each decision they learnt something new which may help you. Joe’s rags to riches life highlights how cancer has no rhyme or reason, why some people get it and some people don’t. It is a heart–warming story of a wife fighting to save the man that she loves with everything that she has. Sadly, the war was lost and Joe died, but there were many battles won along the way which kept Joe alive for seven years with a terminal diagnosis of between two and five years. The love which Julie had for Joe lives on in this book as she shares knowledge and experiences which could change your life. The confidence to challenge comes through understanding, knowledge and shared experience. The hope of a long and healthy life with or without cancer comes from informed life choices. Inside this book you’ll find both. ‘When you lose your reason for living you must find another one — my reason is not to let Joe’s life be forgotten or the things that we learnt go to waste’.
